Introduction
The
reading of construction blueprints is a foundational skill in construction.
All construction professionals, regardless of whether they are
working in the field or in the office, must know how to read blueprints.
Blueprint reading is not terribly difficult but it does require practice
and some basic knowledge of blueprints.
This course is designed to provide you with that foundational knowledge
and enough practice at reading blueprints to get you started.
Mastery of blueprint reading will come with practice and with using
blueprints on the job on a regular basis.
The cost of this course is $410 for ASPE members and $440 for non-members.
The textbook and course materials are included in the price of the course.
Students outside of the continental United States will be required to
pay additional shipping and handling for the textbook. Call the
ASPE Society Business Office toll free at 1-888-378-6283 with questions.

Learning Assessment
Graded
assignments will consist of one quiz for each module and participation
in two class discussions.
Each quiz will count 10 points and class discussions will count 15 points.
You can take quizzes twice and use the highest score achieved as your
final quiz grade.
Class
discussions are a very important part of this course. Students
learn more and learn better when they discuss the topic at hand.
For that reason, I consider the regular weekly discussions to be even
more important than the weekly quizzes.
Grades
will be posted on a weekly basis. You will have full access to
your grade sheet so you will be able to keep track of how you are doing
at all times.
