ASPE: Professional Recognition Committee
The primary purpose for which the Professional Recognition Committee was formed is to encourage a more extensive use of Professional Estimators by Architects, Engineers, Contractors, public agencies, and Owners contemplating construction of any nature.
Other purposes of the ASPE Professional Recognition committee include:
1. Observing and promoting ethical standards of conduct.
2. Enriching the society's objects in providing construction estimators opportunities for professional development by recognizing accomplishments of the society's members.
3. Furthering the recognition of construction estimating as a professional field of endeavor.
4. Promoting legislation which requires architects on public financed projects to solicit and evaluate a cost analysis of the project - prepared by a state certified estimating firm, prior to releasing the plans for bid.
5. Fostering concerted actions through lectures, papers, and discussions for the purposes of enlightening those allied with the Construction industry in the benefits of using Certified Professional Estimators.
