We
received a number of great comments from our members when
asked "Why are you a member of ASPE?" Here are
a few of the best.
"As
a Cost Consultant I prepare estimates on projects from
Alaska to the Virgin Islands and my ASPE Roster is a most
important tool in my business. No matter where the project
is located, I know I can find a fellow ASPE member in
the membership directory who can give me firsthand information
on working conditions, material sources and much, much
more - just with a telephone call. My membership in ASPE
pays for it self many times each year"

"I
joined and have stayed active to give something back to
an industry that has been extremely good to me. Teaching
those who follow us has given me a lot of enjoyment. You
only get out of an organization what you contribute to
it. And the friends I have made across the Country will
be friends long after I have retired from construction"
Terry

"I
am a new member of ASPE and I relish the opportunity to
meet other professionals in my area. This is the perfect
platform"

"I
joined ASPE to become a CPE (Certified Professional Estimator),
network with other estimators and keep up with current
trends in construction estimating. My membership has enabled
me to gain valuable leadership experience by serving as
a chapter officer"
Chris
Morton, CPE

Howell Construction
"I
am a senior estimator for an acoustic ceiling contractor
in Denver. I am glad to be a new member of ASPE. I have
already seen the benefit of my involvement in the organization
that helps to better relationships and an understanding
of other estimators in the construction industry. I look
forward to completing my certification this summer and
continuing my involvement with ASPE for many years"

"I
joined in 2003. Initially I joined to find ways to better
understand what general contractors are looking for and
what they are not getting, from their subcontractors.
What I have found is that I can also offer some insight
about my trade to them. "
