Opportunity Description
Mechanical Estimator Profile:

Work with plans and specs, perform quantity takeoffs, estimate all HVAC and Plumbing job costs, including labor, material, equipment and specialty items necessary to complete the project. Solicit, analyze and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals. Ensure adequate sub/supplier coverage and participate in bid day closeout. Provide updated information necessary to maintain subcontractor databases. Provide input as requested for pre-bid project schedules and technical proposals.

Requirements
Mechanical Estimator Required experience:

Minimum 3-5 years working as an Estimator for a construction company performing commercial, industrial and/or government contracting; new and renovation projects size $5-$50 mil. Degree preferred. Strong knowledge of Mechanical construction techniques, costs and scheduling required. Experience with both plan/spec and Design-Build preferred. Basic computer skills and a good understanding of spreadsheets is essential. Experience with estimating software such as Quickpen is preferred. Ideal candidate should have experience with Federal Government contracts, particularly military projects. Will also consider an entry level estimator with a minimum of 1 year experience.
