Currently, ASPE has certification offered in the following categories:  General Construction, Concrete, Masonry, Roofing, Drywall, Plumbing, HVAC/Sheet Metal, Electrical and Earthwork.  The Metal Panel certification test is in beta testing and will be available shortly.

What other disciplines would you like to see?

Are you a non-CPE who would like to earn your CPE by helping create future programs?

Are you a CPE that would like to earn PDU’s by helping create future programs?

Yes Joe, I've very recently signed up for this program. And yes, I would very much like to get involved in getting other millwork estimators involved. I've already talked this up quite a bit . I did not realize that I was the first (on the other hand, millwork estimating is often described by practitioners as 'art', which I don't really agree with-hence my application for CPE) and I also did not realize that only two submissions were needed to initialize the certification committee to develop a testing criteria! My subject was recently approved and I'm very much looking forward to the challenge, thank you!

Jeffrey, I assume you very recently joined the certification program because I don't recall your topics. Welcome! There are no contributions to the millwork concentration test so you would be first. If you decide to follow this path, the Certification committee would work with you and provide guidance in preparing your questions and problems. The next step would be to find another colleague in your field to follow in your footsteps. Once we have 2 submissions, we can usually create the test for others to take. Good luck!

Joe, I recently signed up for the certification course (millwork) and have proposed 3 papers for my test. Could you tell me if anyone else has contributed to the millwork concentration test and what they have written? Is it possible to read them? I actually enjoy reading what others have contributed to my field and consume anything I can on as regular a basis as I an. Thanks and looking forward to meeting you in Pittsburgh this summer!
