Anyone know when the 80/20 rule passed the 90/10 Mark to become the 97/3 rule?  Why is it that the vast majority don't seem to care about, well, anything?  Not just ASPE, but everything.

And yet how many times have we heard new blood say that the old guard won't let them get involved at the same time the old guard is complaining about there being no new blood?

In life, you get out of it what you put into it.  If all you do for an organization is pay dues, all you get is a receipt.  If you get involved at the local level, you will find many new opportunities that you would have otherwise missed.  If the opportunity to become involved at the Regional level is offered, take it, if for no other reason than see how the other Chapters cope with the same issues that your chapter does.  What you will find is that we all have the same problems, but different coping mechanisms.  And friends.  You will make new friends.

And we all need more friends....
